BoxTops Can Equate to BIG Bucks

This week we have had a hands on lesson in the value of the dollar, or in our case 10 BoxTops. We have had the pleasure of counting the BoxTops that have been collected schoolwide, thus far. The timing for our lesson has been fantastic, since we have been learning how to count coins in Math. We learned that every 10 BoxTops are equal to one dollar; just as there are 10 dimes in one dollar. It was wonderful to see the little faces light up as the numbers of BoxTops continued to grow! We counted a grand total of 3,070 BoxTops; which equates to a whopping $307.00 that goes to The Heiskell School! We are eagerly awaiting our next count to see if we can beat our previous numbers. So, keep clipping those BoxTops and sending them to school. Each one makes a difference!
